Details

 An architectural detail fashioned with ‘attention to detail’ sounds redundant; but the phrase correctly describes the precision applied to even the smallest aspect of a Freeport Woodworking project. Thoughtfully designed and crafted details should not shout “look at me.” They should give the eye something more to discover, something extra to appreciate.

  • The John Calvin Stevens Gazebo on Cushing’s Island had deteriorated to the point where it needed to be totally rebuilt, not just restored. A new roof, support structure and railings were recreated offsite using the original as a template and then reassembled on location.
